What are modified Checkpoints and who qualifies?

Modified on Tue, Jun 30 at 1:09 PM

Modified Checkpoints are accommodations that allow a student to complete an adjusted version of a Checkpoint assignment when a disability, medical condition, or other significant learning need creates barriers to completing the standard assignment.

These modifications are designed to provide equitable access to course content while preserving the learning objectives and academic expectations of the course.

Checkpoint modifications are considered on a case-by-case basis. When appropriate, a teacher may create an alternative version of a Checkpoint that allows the student to demonstrate their understanding in a different way while still meeting the intended learning outcomes. Eligibility and specific modifications are determined individually based on the student's unique needs and circumstances.
