What are MOHS's IEP policies?

Modified on Tue, Jun 30 at 1:11 PM

MOHS is a private school and is not required to implement IEPs or 504 plans as written. Instead, our program is designed with built-in flexibility and supports that help many students succeed without formal accommodations.

Features available to all students include:

  • Flexible pacing and scheduling
  • Unlimited time on assessments
  • Assessment retakes
  • Text-to-speech and closed captioning tools
  • The ability to learn in a customizable online environment

While MOHS does not provide special education services, therapy services, individualized instruction plans, or one-on-one tutoring outside of scheduled office hours, we work closely with families to determine whether our program and available supports are a good fit for each student's needs.

If your student has an IEP or 504 Plan, we encourage you to contact us to discuss their specific needs and whether MOHS may be an appropriate educational option.
