Attendance at MOHS is based on weekly task completion rather than a traditional class schedule. All coursework is completed asynchronously, which means students can work at the time of day that fits their family's life — but they are expected to log into the MOHS website and complete tasks on their Learning Path each school day.
The number of tasks assigned varies based on several factors, such as the student's course load and end dates. Our minimum attendance requirement is that students complete at least 50 tasks per week, though most students will be assigned more than that in a typical week.
Some of these tasks are called Checkpoints, which students complete on Google Classroom. These assignments are worth 60% of the grade and assess the student's understanding of course material at key moments, ensuring they're ready to move forward.
